We offer our guests not only a high standard of comfort, but also a restful enviroment in a quiet, safe and peaceful area. Our guests are invited to use the lovely garden with a saltwater pool and a barbeque under our covered lapa.

We have 3 double bedrooms each with bathroom ensuite, 2 apartments and/or self-catering apartments (fully equipped). Each room is individually furnished and decorated.

We serve your breakfast in our breakfast room or under our lapa in the garden. Or you could use our covered stoep with a fantastic view over the golf course to Walker Bay.

Other facilities include: heater, satellite TV, internet access, safe, fridge, under-floor heating, heated towel rail, hairdryer, radio, coffee/tea facilities, terrace, balcony, laundry service, secure parking on premises.

We book your tee times at all golf courses round Hermanus and if you prefer you are welcome to storage your clubs in our garage.

Directions from Cape Town.

Take the N2 from Cape Town towards George. Pass over Sir Lowry`s Pass. Drive straight. After passed over the Houw Hoek Pass turn off to Hermanus R43 to your left. You will pass the Kleinmond turn. Pass Fisherhaven , Hawston , Vermont , Onrus and the Sandbaai. After Sandbaai Traffic Lights you will pass through two more sets of lights. Now you are on the MAIN ROAD. Keep driving until you see THE MARINE HOTEL. At the MARINE HOTEL turn left into LORD ROBERTS STREET. At the end of this street turn left again. Now you are in front of the Hermanus Golf Course turn left again into Fairway Ave. Carry on these street leads into Fernkloof Drive. Nearly at the end of Hermanus Heights you will see a board on the left sign: VON ABERCRON RESIDENCE.

Directions from Franschoek

From Franschoek take the R45 towards Villiersdorp. You will reach the Theewaterskloof Dam. Turn right onto the R 321towards Grabouw. You will reach a stop street. Turn Left Towards Hermanus. You will pass over the Houw Hoek Pass. As you come down this pass Botriver will be on you Left hand side and shortly after you will see a turn off to Hermanus R43 to your left. Carry along straight along the R43. You will pass the Kleinmond turn . Pass Fisherhaven , Hawston , Vermont , Onrus and Sandbaai. After Sandbaai Traffic Lights you will pass through two more sets of lights. At the Marine Hotel turn left into SIR ROBERTSON STREET. At the end of this street turn left again. Directions from Knysna

Take the N2 in the direction of Cape Town. Once you have passed the town of Riviersonderend look out for a sign on your left hand side towards Hermanus ( R326). Turn Left follow the road until you reach STANFORD. You will reach a stop street (there will be a small garage on the right in front of you and on the left a farm stall) Turn RIGHT before going into Stanford. Follow this road straight into Hermanus. Pass the Traffic circle /Roundabout and go straight into the town.

You will reach the Main Road, on the right side you will sea a Shell Garage turn right into FAIRWAY AVENUE. Follow the sign DOM BOSCO CHURCH. This street leads automatically into FERNKLOOF DRIVE. Keep driving until see on the left side the board :VON ABERCRON RESIDENCE.

Unit 1: The Garden Cottage stands separately from the main dwelling at Eastbury with its own pretty fully enclosed garden and covered patio with built in barbeque area. The main bedroom sleeps two with its luxury twin/ or king size bed and is open plan to the sitting/TV area and kitchenette with a breakfast counter. The smaller second bedroom has single beds suitable for children or teenagers. The cottage has a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The kitchen has a mini oven; microwave; toaster; sandwich toaster; frying pan, kettle; fridge; iron and ironing board. The Garden Cottage is fully equipped for 2-4 persons and is suitable for a family. Safe off street parking is provided on the premises. Rates: R 275 – R 350pppn (first two persons sharing) 3rd and 4th persons R 150–R 200pppn; Breakfast additional R 60–R 70 pp.

Unit 2: The Courtyard with it cosy fireplace for romantic evenings in the Winter is attached to the main dwelling and has its own private entrance and small courtyard area for outdoor braaiing. The suite has luxury twin/ or king size bed and a table for dining and a separate kitchenette which is compact with a two plate gas burner, microwave, toaster; kettle, sandwich toaster and bar fridge, a weber kettle barbeque. The newly refurbished bathroom has a bath with a separate shower. Crisp white linen, fluffy towels and toiletries are provided. The Courtyard is fully equipped for 2 adults. Rates: R 250 – R 300pppn sharing; Breakfast additional R 60–R 70 pp.

Unit 3: The Loft upstairs, above the main dwelling is a spacious two bedroom unit with lovely views; its own entrance hall; spacious living /dining area and kitchenette. The bathroom consists of a shower room. The outdoor deck is great for having a sundowner or outdoor braai with the sound and smell of the ocean just two blocks away and a tiny peep of the sea. The bedrooms have twins or king size bed in each. The sofa bed sleeps one or two children on request. The kitchen has a convection/grill microwave; a two plate gas burner; toaster; kettle; fridge; sandwich toaster; iron and ironing board. Linen and towels and toiletries are provided. The Loft is comfortably equipped for 2- 4 persons with the sleeper couch as an extra. Rates: R 300 to R 375pppn (first 2 persons sharing); 3rd and 4th persons R 150–R 200pppn. Unit 4: The Rose Room is a spacious and romantic double room with a queen size bed and bathroom with separate bath and shower. The room opens onto a covered patio with a view of the garden. Enjoy your own braai under the beautiful trees in the tranquil garden, braai-utensils provided and wood available. There are 3 excellent restaurants and a farm stall within walking distance.

Each luxury room with access via an outside staircase is furnished with antique cottage furniture. It sleeps 2 people on either a double or on two single beds. Rooms have TV and en-suite bathrooms. Clean linen is supplied twice a week and towels every day.
