THINGS TO DO.
Hermanus is a paradise for nature lovers and for outdoor living. Walking along the famous cliff path close to House on Westcliff one can observe hundreds of whales that come to visit our bay during the months of July to December. The cliff path which meanders for many kilometers along Walker Bay, together with the paths in the nature reserve in the mountains that fringe Hermanus, make for exhilarating hiking among our natural vegetation. A brisk walk along the path from House on Westcliff takes about 30 minutes to the centre of the village which offers shops, galleries, book shops, restaurants and coffee shops on every corner.
The new harbour with boating, cruises and restaurants is a few minutes' walk from House on Westcliff. Whale watching boats leave from the harbour during season, while shark cage diving
is offered across the bay at Gansbaai about 30km away.
Other activities on offer are paragliding, fishing, swimming, horse riding, quad biking and many more.
