De Kelders B & B is superbly situated on the seafront with protected fynbos surroundings allowing an uninterrupted view of Walkerbay, where spectacular sunsets reflect upon the water and alight the mountains beyond. Unmatched tranquility provides the visitor with excellent land-based whale-watching, a small seal colony always visible beyond the kelp, rock-rabbits, mongooses, tortoises, birds and even a nightly visit from a porcupine.
Guests have their own lounge with coffee, tea and snack facilities and a wooden deck overlooking Walkerbay. Weather-permitting, the delectable breakfast is served on the deck. Each room has its own warm charater and the view from the two double rooms is magnificent, offering whale watching from bed! The twin-room faces a private fynbos garden. Location & Environment:
De Kelders lies between the R43 and the sea. You will need about 25 minutes from Hermanus and only 5 minutes from Gansbaai. From Cape Town International Airport it is about 150km. Gansbaai is a picturesque fisherman's village with popular seafood restaurants and is now world renown for its Great White Shark population.
